Sweetwater Music Supports Yvonne!

Chuck Surack, President of Sweetwater Music in Ft. Wayne, Indiana (http://sweetwater.com/) has donated the beautiful Fender Stratocaster guitar shown above to the Yvonne Kupka Medical Fund. Yvonne's husband of more than 20 years, Doc Kupka, is a member of Tower of Power. So all ten members of the band autographed this guitar, and it was available for auction on eBay.com during the month of January 2011 until Jan. 16.

The four autographs on the left side, top to bottom, are David Garibaldi (drums), Mic Gillette (trumpet/trombone), Roger Smith (keyboards), and Jerry Cortez (guitar). The four autographs across the top of the guitar, left to right, are Francis Rocco Prestia (bass guitar; "KYDA" = Keep Your Dreams Alive), Tom E. Politzer (tenor sax), Adolfo Acosta (trumpet), and Doc Kupka (baritone sax). The autograph above the strings is Larry Braggs (vocals), and the autograph below the strings is Emilio Castillo (bandleader and tenor sax).
